Following their unannounced inspection in March 2018, Blaydon Lodge (a Gateshead Council respite service for adults with high level, complex needs) received an ‘outstanding’ rating from the Care Quality Commission.  Blaydon Lodge is a two bedded facility which can provide respite for service users and their family carers throughout the year.  The inspection report noted that the service was instrumental in providing respite for family carers when they needed it the most and praised the Registered Manager and staff team for their commitment and dedication to providing excellent care.
