Barking and Dagenham Council

Over 100,000 people every year have attended Barking & Dagenham Council’s huge Summer of Festivals programme since it replaced the former Town Show in 2015. The events are led by the community and facilitated by the council and are part funded by external sponsors, which allows local families to enjoy a fun day out completely free of charge. There really is something for everyone, from punk rock to civil war re-enactments! Favourites include the Barking Folk Festival, Steam and Cider Fair, One Borough Festival, Youth Parade, Eastbrook Country Fair and the Roundhouse Music Festival.
