Tower Hamlets Council

Combatting Anti-Social Behaviour is a priority for Tower Hamlets Council. To tackle it, they created a partnership involving the council, our ALMO Tower Hamlets Homes and the police, with funding from the Mayor of London’s Office. The ASB team shares intelligence, are jointly tasked and work solely on council estates. Tower Hamlets Homes fund 14 Parkguard officers to patrol their estates and the council has provided funding for additional police officers in the borough. In less than a year the Anti-Social Behaviour team has delivered great results for Tower Hamlets residents: 1711 Anti-Social Behaviour Warnings issued, 1108 Stop and Searches, 183 Arrest and Cautions, 40 Cannabis related raids, 32 Penalty Notices for Disorder, 32 Vehicle seizures, 7 Closure Notices and Partial Premises Closure Orders to prevent rough sleepers and drug dealers entering communal areas of estates, and 109 abandoned vehicle process applications.
