Making our communities safer
Tackling homelessness with comprehensive aid
Councils
Doncaster Council
The Doncaster Complex Lives Alliance is a partnership of public services, including Doncaster Council, to deliver a highly integrated support system for people who have become locked in a cycle of homelessness, rough sleeping, addiction, offending behaviour and poor physical and mental health. This work is proving very effective in providing accommodation and support to some very entrenched rough sleepers. There are 109 people that are case managed by the Complex Lives team and Alliance Partners. Of this total there are 76 people who were originally rough sleeping that are now in accommodation and receiving support. The current number of rough sleepers in Doncaster is 25, which is down from a worrying peak in the summer of 67 rough sleepers. This reduction is a result of very proactive joint efforts that the council continues to work on.
