Gateshead Council
Angling 4 All is a Gateshead Council award winning angling club for people with disabilities, providing weekly angling training and competition opportunities. The club has over 60 members and has supported three people with learning disabilities to secure a Level 1 sporting qualification in Angling, in turn giving people the confidence and skills to secure paid employment. Angling 4 All has created partnerships with two specialist schools (Gibside School in Gateshead and Collingwood School in Morpeth) to provide intergenerational angling events whereby over 50 adults and children with disabilities unite to fish together - sharing the love of the sport. Angling 4 All are two time winners of the annual Jack Charlton Disabled Anglers competition and ‘Big Jack’ himself visited the club’s anglers in 2017 to celebrate their success.
